Student Life
Student Life at St. Francis of Assisi is vibrant, faith-filled, and centered on forming the whole child. It’s the moments in prayer, the joy of serving others, the friendships built in classrooms and hallways, and the growth that happens both inside and outside of the school day. Like many thriving school communities, these experiences help shape not just students, but disciples rooted in Christ.
As a Preschool–8th grade community of over 700 students, SFA provides a safe, nurturing environment where every child is known, supported, and challenged. Our dedicated faculty and staff walk alongside students as they grow academically, socially, and spiritually—helping each child discover their God-given gifts and purpose.
Faith at the Center
Faith is woven into every part of student life at SFA. Each day begins and ends in prayer, grounding students in their relationship with Christ. Weekly all-school Liturgies bring our community together, while additional opportunities—such as prayer services, the Rosary, Eucharistic Adoration, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation—invite students to encounter God in a personal way.
Gospel values are not just taught—they are lived. Students learn to see Christ in one another and carry His love into everything they do.
Growing the Whole Child
At SFA, we believe education goes beyond the classroom. Students are challenged to achieve academic excellence while being supported in a caring and encouraging environment. This balance allows them to build confidence, develop character, and grow into thoughtful leaders.
Our school fosters strong relationships between students and teachers, creating a community where each child feels valued, encouraged, and inspired to succeed.
Service & Leadership
Living out our faith means serving others. SFA students actively participate in outreach efforts throughout the year, supporting monthly mission recipients and local needs.
Our middle school students alone contribute over 3,000 service hours to the community—putting faith into action and learning the importance of compassion, responsibility, and leadership. These experiences form lifelong habits of service and a deeper understanding of what it means to be Christ’s hands and feet in the world.
Students will need to complete their total hours by the first Friday in May. If a student does not meet the requirements by that first Friday, they will receive a full letter grade deduction to their Trimester 3 Grade. Students will still be required to finish remaining hours by the end of the school year.
6th Grade: 6 hours (up to 4 hours will be counted for one organization)
7th Grade: 8 hours (up to 6 hours will be counted for one organization)
8th Grade: 10 hours (up to 8 hours will be counted for one organization)
Hour Deadlines 2026-2027:
- Summer Hours - Due September 25th, 2026
- Service Hour completed between the first day of school until Christmas Break will be due December 21st, 2026
- Service Hour completed between Christmas break until May 7th will be due on May 7th, 2027.
Hours turned in late will not be accepted.
