Leadership Council
The St. Francis of Assisi School Leadership Council was formed in 2024-2025 when the former Board of Education and Home & School organization were merged. The Leadership Council oversees all fundraising, development, and volunteer activities at the school. The Leadership Council also supports the educational mission of St. Francis of Assisi School as follows:
- by collaborating, providing guidance and advice to the School Principal and Pastor of the St. Francis of Assisi Parish.
- by providing a forum for the School Principal to provide regular updates on school activities, school issues, security concerns, student safety concerns, etc.
- by providing a forum for parents to address any concerns, or issues.
- by supporting the educational programs and initiatives of the school, consistent with the teachings and values of the Roman Catholic Church.
The Leadership Council includes 12 members and the Pastor. The SFA School Principal and Preschool Director attend each meeting as non-voting members. They provide reports at each meeting and address any questions or concerns from Leadership Council members.
All Leadership Council meetings are open meetings. They are held the second Thursday of each month from 6:30 – 8:00 pm in the Middle School Science Lab on the second floor of the school. If you wish to attend, please review the meeting agenda, which will be posted on this website one week prior to the meeting. If a non-Leadership Council member wishes to address the Leadership Council during Open Forum, the person must contact the Leadership Council Chair at least one week prior to the meeting (
LeadershipCouncilChair@saintfrancisschool.org). The request must identify the issue or concern to be addressed and should include any supporting materials to be presented. Please note that those requesting Open Forum must first work to address concerns with the proper school administration (following the St. Francis of Assisi School Grievance Policy) prior to addressing the Leadership Council.
