What You Do to Others You Do to Me

By Deacon Oran Struecker

As I sat in Adoration, asking our Lord for His message to you, this is what I wrote in my journal.

“Just because you do not see me being nailed to the cross, doesn’t mean you don’t see me. When you see others being tortured in this world, that is me in them. All the suffering that is happening is me being nailed to the cross. Maybe being nailed to the cross is more dramatic. It is me you insult as you insult someone. You are inpatient with me when you are not patient with someone. It is also me you are helping as you assist someone. How you act and treat people is how you treat me. This is very hard for you to wrap your head around. It doesn’t matter how they treat you, it is how you treat them.

I keep telling you that you have to open that gate to the dam, allowing my love to flow out of you. Let the love you have move! Yes, you will be hurt, as it is part of life. There is suffering and people will want to hurt you because of my love that you are giving. This is what you are afraid of? You have been hurt before. You are protecting yourself.

The love I have for you is unending. You think that it will run out because of the things that have happened in your life? My love is not like that of human beings, it never leaves you or runs out. In fact, it increases! Let go of your past hurts, and always look to me. When someone hurts you, look to me. Look at the cross and see the nails in my hands and feet. See the crown of thorns on my head. This is the love you will see. PURE LOVE and PURE MERCY. There is nothing greater than this.”
