Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What should we expect from the retreat?

A: This retreat is designed to give you and your spouse intentional time together to focus on your marriage. Throughout the day, couples will hear brief testimonies from speakers sharing how God and faith have strengthened their own marriages. These reflections are meant to inspire conversation, while also allowing you and your spouse the time and space to connect, reflect, and grow together. This is not a lecture-style retreat, but a day centered on your relationship.

Q: Is this retreat for newlyweds or long-time married couples?

A: This retreat is designed for all married couples, whether newlyweds or those celebrating many years together.

Q: Do we need to share with other couples?

A: No. Most of the day is designed for private conversation between you and your spouse. Any sharing with other couples is optional. This retreat is intentionally focused on giving you time to connect with one another rather than socializing. Dinner at the end of the day will provide a relaxed opportunity to get to know the other participants.

Q: Will childcare be provided?

A: No

Q: What should we bring?

A: Just yourselves, an open heart and probably some sunscreen! All materials will be provided.

Q: What should we wear?

A: Comfortable, casual attire is recommended. We will be outdoors so please plan accordingly.

Q: Will the event be cancelled if it rains?

A: No, we will move the event inside the home.

Q. What will we be doing during the lunch date?

A: Couples will receive a boxed lunch and enjoy relaxed, unstructured time together. You’re welcome to spend this time however you’d like — whether that’s enjoying the pool, taking a walk, or simply talking together. A fun optional activity will also be available for couples, along with conversation starters and prayer prompts. Reconciliation and prayer teams will be available for those who wish to participate.
