Baptism
Parents are requested to call the parish office to register for pre-baptism classes, preferably during the first six months of pregnancy.  Baptisms are normally celebrated in small groups of four or five children. This reflects that the children are being baptized into the Community of the Church and this means it is a community celebration, not just a private family celebration. We limit the group to four or five due to the size of our space and allowing for involvement of families.

The usual times for Baptism are on the first three Sundays of each month following the 11:15 a.m. Mass and the 4th Saturday of each month after the 4:30 p.m. Mass.  Families are to gather by the Baptismal Font following Mass after the Gathering Area has cleared.

Baptisms on the 1st and 3rd Sundays and 4th Saturday are by pouring water over the foreheads of the children. The 2nd Sundays are Baptisms by immersion.

Except in rare circumstances, Adult Baptism is celebrated as part of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults at the Easter Vigil Mass.
